Got the 18V EMG mod!

I got it yesterday, it isn't SOOOOOO noticable, (maybe I don't know what to look out for). But It sounds slighty clearer, and I like it.

The excess wires just had to be trimmed, all is well. There's room to breathe

The difference in sound of the 18 volt setup isn't huge, but it's worth the extra battery in my opinion. It produces a little more sustain and harmonics to my ears.

i am no longer an advocate for the 18v config. i thought it made my guitar sound thin. i switched back and was way happier.

I did it to both my guitar and bass. It didn't do much for the guitar but it made a big difference for the bass when doing pop or slap, it's a lot more dynamic now.

You should notice a little more highs and lows, similar to the difference between a 50 watt and 100 watt amp.

I just did it to my Model 2 tonight and I noticed the same as you. Not too noticable but there was more sustain.
