Hey guys, I have a problem you guys can help me with or at least give me advice on. With my recent new Jackson aquisitions, I hadn't even taking '87 custom soloist out of the case for a while. Anyway, I decided to take her out last night and get her ready for this weekend, and to my HORROR I found a CRACK on the back of the neck just below the lock nut. At first I thought it was just a finish crack but after closer inspection I noticed that the string action was way too high and with a little pressure on the neck to close the crack it would come down to a normal level.
Anyway, I have two questions:
1. Can this be repaired?
2. And would it be cost effective to do so?
I dont want to put too much money into this guitar, but then again, this is my first ever Jackson and is the guitar responsible for me having 3 others. I affectionately referred to her as "old faithful".
Any advice/sympathy would be appreciated.
