I picked up this Model 5 for a setup yesterday and I was wondering which pre-amp it has. I looks like an 86 but the pups are covered so maybe early 87? Is it a je-1000? Also has a 5 way switch, thanks!

Thats what I read in the catalog but it dosn't seem to add mid, one of the pots is replaced and the preamp appears to be on the middle knob. It sounds like it adds gain, I'll re-wire it w/ the schematic.
