To my eye, it looks like the Floyd isn't quite level to the body - it's leaning back, with the fine tuners' end being closer to the body than the trem's leading edge. Or - to think of it another way - it either needs more string tension or less spring tension to become level. And this is contributing to the optical illusion that the base plate shape is angled. But it ain't.
