best way to put on new pick ups?

i want to try to put new pick ups in my guitar.

i really don't want to take the strings off. would putting a 9 volt under the floyd be the best way to do it?

i may put new strings on later. i just hate adjusting them til they stay in tune.

Hold the trem all the way back (pullup) with the bar, then pop the springs out. Remove the trem, swap pickups, put the trem back on, hold the trem all the way back again, and put the springs back on [img]images/icons/grin.gif[/img]

Yup that's the way I do it if im not ready for new strings on that particular guitar yet. Just makes sure the trem doesn't get tangled in the strings cuz it's a bich to get striaght without kinking a string.
