13-58/62 - anything in between for B in my opinion.

I've used a 52 tuned to B and a 54 tuned to A on my Ibanez and they were fine. Not too floppy at all but everyone's feel is different I guess

For my tuned down guitars I have them in 13's or one of those hybrid sets that get thicker for the lower strings.
You'll have to re-intonate too and maybe keep an eye on the neck for a small truss rod adjustment but there shouldn't be any trouble with your neck at all.

I remember reading that Dino from Fear Factory used either a 50 or 52 tuned to A or B. I couldn't believe how light his strings were and how precise his picking could be with those.

it was when i first used lighter strings for tuning down...but i got used to it. i can play just as fast and easy on it as i can on my guitars with 9-48 (and i even tune them down to D!)

it just takes practice. helped me lighten up my fretting hand and allowed me to play faster, cleaner, more precise. i use 1.14mm Tortex Jazz picks as well some of my clips on my Soundclick are me using the RR3 in B, and some of them are pretty fast...check out Tube/Soc Monki metal jam 2, CircleJerk/Soc Monki Drum Jam 3, Circlejerk/Soc_Monki drumjam 2...those are a few using B on the RR3

my Soundclick is the last link in my sig, btw!

Do you at least use all five springs on the Floyd? That's gotta be flop city, man! :ROTF:

Think about it, these teenagers you're referring to are probably fucking up their necks some other way. They probably haven't got a clue what they're doing.
