• repainting chipped points

What kind of paint do you guys use to repaint chipped points? Automotive touch up paint? Nail polish?

I don't have to worry about any fancy finish art, just want to match the original black color and protect the wood.

A black Sharpie works the best and it dries fast. You said you didn't want anything fancy.

Black nail polish can do a good job. It may take several coats to build it up, but it does a decent job, all things considered.

Hey, in all seriouseness go to your local auto parts store and get the Dupli_Color touch-up paint in the little vials. The stuff works fantastic and is laquer based.
Besides sharpies are only available in four colors!!

Thanks Alex! or uh E, yeah...

mm2002 I said I don't have any fancy finish art. I doubt a Sharpie would protect the wood at all, but feel free to use it on your own stuff
