Kahler to Floyd...?

How do you change from a Kahler to a Floyd?...What's the best way? Got a Model 2 with a Kahler, help...

'86 Model 2 had the Kahler Fulcrum, not the flatmount, right? The posts will need to be pulled & the holes dowelled, then you need to route the guitar for the floyd using the routing templates they provide. The other option would be to replace the Fulcrum with a Kahler 2710 "Killer" which is a locking trem that's a drop-in replacement:

They don't make them any more, but they pop up on eBay once in a while.
