greetings, im in the process of purchasing a guitar body routed for an original floyd rose(non recessed), will a licensed jackson floyd rose fit(not recessed)?
thanks in advanced
not all of us can afford one. on ebay, the licensed jackson floyds sell at a fair price.
Trust me, the OFR is worth saving up for. Second best would be a Schaller "Floyd Rose II", or a Gotoh Floyd. Jackson's lo-pro junk will not stand up to those.
The licensed Jackson Foyd spring block will be too short for a non-recessed body - the springs will attach and an angle and rub against the inside of the cavity.
I want to depart this world the same way I arrived; screaming and covered in someone else's blood
The most human thing we can do is comfort the afflicted and afflict the comfortable.

Yup, theres your answer. Those licensed jobs typically come with a 32mm or 37mm block. You want a 42mm block for non recessed. You might be able to get away with the 37 if it is set up close up to the body for dives only (no pull up).
