My friend is thinking about swaping a stock bridge pickup (don't know what that is - some noname) for a PRS Mark Tremonti treble. As I have never tried one I can't help him much. Has any of you had the chance to try one out? I've read somewhere that it has accented lows and highs and is pretty hot. I wouldn't expect it to be hotter than EMG 81 (my choice) but I guess it is supposed to have some kick to it. Any opinions please.

Re: PRS Mark Tremonti pickup opinions
I had a PRS one time and it had a tremonti and that thing had NO mids it was solid bass and highs , but it could be that at the time i was playing a 5150 , not my diezel and vht. Its pretty hot , not 81 ( imo ) but still pretty hot for a passive pickup. I liked it more than any seymour duncan or dimarzio i ever played and i have played almost all of them. Listen to distrubed and creed to get a good sound of what it sounds like in a band.
