Locking nut size for KV2 speed neck

Just curious - does the KV2 (or any other model with the "speed" neck dimensions) require a different locking nut than other neck-thru Jacksons?

I'm pretty sure the string spacing is the same. I believe it's just the back profile of the neck which is thinner.

I think most Jacksons use an R3 Floyd nut, which is 0.275" tall. The only Floyd nuts that are shorter are the R1 and the R2, but they don't have the same string spacing as the R3. Have you pulled the nut off to check what you have?

The nut width should be the same, it's just the depth of the speed neck thats smaller.
