The tip is hot and the sleeve is ground. The ring is also hot if you're wiring something in stereo or can be an on/off switch in an active system, but isn't used when wired as mono in a passive system.

hey guys,

i've got an apc pup that i'm going to wire into an old ibanez roadstar II. i was wondering if anyone could tell me what tabs on the imput jack do what? its a stereo jack but this is a passive pup. i just need to know which one is hot and which one is ground.
