im enjoying the DR Extra Life strings...in black! they dont sound as twangy right out of the package, and they feel nice and slippery so you never have problems sliding around. tone is great. ive gone through GHS, D'Addarios, Dean Markleys, SITs, and the JustStrings.com bulk strings. all worked well and i never had a problem with any, but i like the DRs best.My metal band Lucian Scott

I used Ernie Ball Extra 8's slinky since I was about 16 so about 20 years, I just switched to DR Extra Life Black Beauties 9's great tone still a thin good feeling string with much more life to them. Yeah I used 8's for along time :ROTF: people say they have no tone to them or they're real Tini, but I use digital rack gear & a GNX4 so my sound is really processed anyway The Dr's make it that much easier for a fuller tone.According To The Prophecy

I use Ernie Ball Super Slinky's. I used to use DR tite's, but they wouldn't last on my guitars for some reason, about every 3 weeks, they would snap. I've had the Ernie Ball's on my Model 4 for 5 months and they still sound great. As for picks, I use Dunlop Tortex 1.14mm's.My Main Rig:
'87 Charvel Model 4A
Peavey KB100 amp
Ibanez SM7 Smashbox
Others:
'92 Gibson Les Paul Custom
'05 Ibanez RG320FM
'86 Ovation Pinnacle
'98 Synsonics Custom Strat
'89 Kramer 700ST Bass
