fishman voltage doubler?

Anybody try one of these things? It is a small 9V battery clip that has a built-in voltage doubler, so you can get 18V out of one 9V battery.

Curious because I have 2 9Vs, would be nice to reduce weight some. I have EMG 85/81 in jackson SL2 snakeskin. Push-pull tone pot, down for 9V, up for 18V. I like being able to switch between the two.

Anyway stew mac has these things for $18.

It's going to cut your battery life way down, so keep that in mind also. Sounds interesting, but I'd rather have two batteries and a longer time between changes.
