Quick question on volume swells prob on tube amp

My Mesa DC-5 combo's volume swells periodically. Do I have to change the preamp tubes or power amp tubes?

Typically, power tubes go before preamp tubes. I would check them first. I would take the amp with me when I go, so you can put them in right away. If that doesn't solve the problem, leave it for service (assuming you shop at the same place as you get repairs done). Good Luck!
