  • good affordable refinish place?

    Getting a USA Jackson in a few days - sight unseen *danger* lol, but it's metallic pink. Hey, it's an '87 and I got a good deal on it, so what the heck. Anyways, GMW wants $250 or so for a refin, and god knows how backed up they are... anyone know any good alternatives for a simple one color refin if I took everything apart and just sent the body out?

    For one color contact Mark (mm2002) for a graphic I would go with Mike Learn.

        hey Pete,
        Here is a mm2002 sample for you. It's a personal project that I haven't had time for but here is what I got back from him when I sent him a raw body.

        I also sent Mike a couple of bodies and it will be interesting to see what he decides to do to them

          ohh I like this thread as I might be needing to get a refinish done also. So I'm interested to hear options.

            I need to send Mark (mm2002) an email, I just figured with what he does (high end car restorations) that his pricing would be more. I know he's worth whatever he charges and more for sure. Plus he's a nice guy, came out to one of my gigs once with his wife.

              Pete, not only is Mark a very talented guy, he honestly cares about what he's doing and will offer advice and assist in any way he can. You actually got to meet him so you know first hand what a nice guy he is and I honestly don't think you'll be afraid of his pricing either -

                          Paul at Big Head Guitars is doing a basic Ferrari red refin on my King V. I'll let you know how it looks next week (or perhaps the week after that....)

                              {sometimes less then 2 weeks}

                              reasonably priced depending how fancy you want to get also
