How do I get that tinted orange unfinished?

Hey guys, I custom ordered a 1 pc strat neck. I am not going to put clear on it. But I want that "orange" oiled/waxed feel like the Van Halen Music man and of course old charvels.

Do I use tung oil or gunstock oil? Does anyone know the ACCURATE product to use and steps?

the watco danish oil is all over that neck, front and back. no hard finish, and i don't remember if i waxed the back of it. i may have. as we've all heard, a hard finish is better for necks, but i wouldn't say that danish oil is any less protective than the other oiled finishes.

unless i put gunstock oil on a neck, i usually wax the back of the necks. you can get watco in most hardware stores. i think i needed to get that specific tint at a mom n pop hardware store, but you should be able to get it without a hassle.
