I've started putting together my next project which will start with a Model 3DR body (possible refin) with a strathead neck w/maple board. Will this neck suit me?

If its got a Fender heel size, you will have to do some shaving.
Nice looking neck though.

I thought fender necks were thinner then charvel. don't you have to shim the neck.Comment

That neck heel will be 1/16" narrower than the neck pocket in the charvel body. Did the 3DR come with a 22 or 24 fret neck? If it came with a 24 fret neck then that neck will not work without mods.Comment

But neck adjustments on my guitars are few and far between so I guess I can live with it. The 3DR came with a 22 fret/25.5" scale neck so I know any Model neck will do as well. I may wait to see if I can find a maple-boarded Model neck.
