Which do you like the best? I dig ebony. Fast, oily, and looks the best IMO.

I went with Maple. Easier to maintain and love the snapy tone. Plus if you get a nice piece of flame or birds eye maple with some tint to it, you just can beat the looks.
For looks a nice dark piece of ebony is surely nice.
Rosewood is acceptable as well as Pao Ferro.Mr. Patience.... ask for a free consultation.

No preference here. It doesn't make much of a difference in the electric sound (at least on the ones I've tried) and I don't press the strings hard enough to really dig into the fretboard, so feel is out.
For looks, I prefer ebony on dark-colored guitars, maple on light-colored guitars.Scott

I voted for ebony, simply because I like how it is so dense and smooth. However, I almost voted for rosewood. If it's a nice piece, a rosewood board can look awesome, and I like the feel of it too.

I for some reason have never really become a fan of ebony. I love the look of maple with black sharkies, but don't like the feel of a laquered board, and maple deteriorates too quickly if left raw. So my vote went for rosewood. Some rosewood is very plain and boring to look at, but you can get some really nice figured pieces, and cocobolo takes it to a whole new level. Cocobolo will polish up to a mirror like shine and just has beautifull coloring.
