I've got a '88 limited edition that I'm thinking about switching the pickups on. I'm looking for something hotter than the j50bc that's in there. Was looking at a dimarzio "fred" for the bridge and maybe a "cruiser" in the neck, but was curious if anyone has used either of those with a guitar similar to this, or if there are any better suggestions out there. I'm open to anything. I play mostly classic rock (Aerosmith, Van Halen, ZZ Top, Santana etc...), but we also play some heavier stuff (Metallica, Staind). Any suggestions would be appreciated.
