I am fairly happy with the humbuckers I have in the bridge - duncan custom ,distortion, and soon Iommi (owned them before). They are hot, and I'd like to have a P90 in the neck position. Lots of humbucker sized p90s for the neck out there, no problem, but I think I may want to put a reverse wound neck p90 in the neck and a "fwd" wound bridge one in the middle, adding a 5-way to make it "hum-less".
Is that a great, ok, or bad idea? Most middle pickups are the same as neck p'ups. I know it's not a rule, but a really good guideline. Should I just do it?
Probably end up with Iommi, Bridge P90, Neck P90 in a mohagany Gibson (V).
