retrofit them into a Jackson? Typical black jackson tuners with one screw off to the side. Is this a common Sperzel retrofit? This would
be for a string thru without FR locker nut
Last time I looked Schaller locking tuners do not have the screw "ear". (http://www.stewmac.com/shop/Tuners/G....html#details) They mount similar to the Sperzel's with a locator pin under the machine housing. Gotoh has a new locking tuner called Magnum, that would be a direct replacement. (with screw "ears") Guitar Parts Depot just put them in their on-line catalog. The link is for lefty or upside down head stocks, but the Right handed ones are in the catalog.
The Wilkinson EZ-LOK tuners at Guitarfetish.Com are *almost* exact replacements. The screws go in at a slight angle, but work fine. However, they don't have a locking mechanism like the other brands, but instead just have two holes per tuner post and lock from the string tension.
The Schallers from Warmoth do have the ear tabs, which line up with the Jackson tuners. I've used these to replace stock Jackson tuners. The only visual difference is that these have shorter stems than the stock ones, but they work fine.

Cool, thanks for the link! Apparently, there are more versions of these.
