Feed back eliminators for PA systems

OK, I read the harmony central stuff like usual. What brand/model of anti-feedback devices do you people recommend for a PA system?? I have a small carvin PA I use in my basement and I want to use a feedback eliminator of some type. I would welcome any suggestions you guys have... Any good or bads ones? any quirks or problems to look for?

I have never used nor ever seen one used in the 28 years I have been gigging or rehearsing. We usually adjust mic placement, EQ and levels.
