Trying to get this Oxidation off. Need to know whats something good and safe to use on a guitar.

Anyone know? Just picked up a Pawnshop score and want to clean it up before posting my NGD thread.

looks like you might have to actually buff that out, with some mild rubbing compound.
from the pics looks like it has sandpaper scrathes...

Get some silicone-free guitar polishing compound (silicone residue is bad for guitar finishes - it impedes repairs and touch ups down the line). Guitar polishing compounds come in different coarsenesses. Automotive rubbing/polishing compound could work but again make sure that it does not have silicone. Try some of this, but be gentle with it. Don't use it on a drill. Just hand polish. Should be available at your local auto parts store.

i have that turtle wax stuff it's not bad but the miguire(spellcheck) is better. and the 3m products are even better but more $
