Stacked single coil pickups..

any one here use them? anyway i'm bored right of my mind and i remembered have a cheap ass humbucker here so i tore it apartand decided to make it into a stacked single coil.Is that a crazy idea?anyway here are a couple of pics of it being started . I hope it'll be finished tonight cause tomorrow a friend of mine goes to the rehearsal space and he lets me experiment on his guitars i hope it'll fit in a single coil cover. LOL ok so here are the pics






YOu can almost see the lines where im going to cut the plate.I'll post a pic when its finished.

The base plate cut ( it aint pretty but it'll do its job)

It looks kind of tall. Will it fit under the strings in a normal SC slot?

dont know if it will, if it doesnt i'll just break out the router and make it fit. LOL . its not really that tall the pic makes it look taller then it is
