truss rod adjustment

I recently switched from 9 guage at E tuning, to 10 guage in D tuning on my RR5. How much should I have to tighten my truss rod? Im thinking that I shouldnt have to tighten it much at all, so I turned it about from 10o clock to 1 oclock, but theres still a bit of up-bow. I dont want to fuck up the neck by over-tightening it, how much do you recommend that I tighten the rod? (clock-wise turns right?)

You probably didn't need to adjust the truss rod much, if at all. When you fret the low E string at the 17th fret with a capo on the first fret, you should barely be able to fit a .010" string between the bottom of the low E string and the top of the 7th fret.
