what pots do i need for charvel 6?

Im replacing the whole interior electrics in my 6 as its in need of a refurb. The JE 1200 has come out as is broken anyway. Im putting in an emg mid boost so all i need now is 1 volume and 1 tone pot. I just want to make sure exactly what i need as im unsure about the differences (if any). 250k or 500k? and what is difference between a log pot and a lin pot? Any help would be great.

500k pots will be fine. Factory used 50k pots but that really had the most to do with the active JE1200 youre taking out.

He'd need logarithmic pots (audio taper), wouldn't he?

I always keep forgetting which kind that comes standard, but I keep being told to get log pots.

500k audio is right. As for the originals, they were:

volume: 50k audio, attached directly to the PC board

tone: 250k audio

boost: pot is labelled B50k, pretty sure it is linear taper for more even control of the boost level as the pot is turned.
