Whats a reasonable replacement for a JT500 and what will fit in tis pole spacing/route? I have one on my Kelly, and come to find out, its a piece of crap and I want to change it ASAP

A Schaller /JT-590 is the only thing that will drop in 100% without any issues. Other than hitting the route, you may have intonation issues with any other Floyd (incl. OFRs) because of the different baseplate geometry and resulting shorter post distance from the unt

Another trem that has the same form factor as the JT-500 is the Floyd Rose II. It came in non-locking and locking versions, and obviously you'd want the locking version. Also make sure the tremolo block size is the same as the trem you have. These blocks come in 3 different heights: 32, 37 or 42mm
What the other guys said; JT-590, "Floyd Rose II" or Schaller (all three are virtually the same thing). If you get one with the wrong block size though, you may be able to swap blocks with your JT-500.
