does the EMG hz H1 sound about the same as the H4?

they both are wound to 13.65K but the H 1 has one row of adjustable poles and both have ceramic magnets.
any hear both models?

I have a LTD MV300 that has the S-1 and H1 ceramic HZs. Very tight pickups lots of mids but can be brittle sounding if you crank the gain on your amp too high.By backing the gain down on my amp (johnson millenium stereo 150)these pickups are nice and smooth.I think the H4 would have been a better choice being an alnico because the MV300 is a mahogony body/neck guitar.I've played the H4s in a dkmgt and they sound great.
