Ibanez RG3120 Pickup Routes

Hey guys, I have the chance to pick up a new Ibanez RG3120 guitar for a good price. If you don't know they no longer make them. My question is can I put duncans in it? I heard the pickup routes are only for Dimarzios unless you mod them. Is this true?

The ears on Dimarzio pickups are triangular while the Duncan's are square. The 3120 pickup routes only accommodates the Dimarzio ears. That doesn't mean you can't put your favorite Duncan's into the guitar. You will just need to cut the ears to fit.
