Actually the "Schaller" Floyd Rose is in reality the design called "Floyd rose II", short screws, cast plate and hardened inserts for the pivots.

Some of lower quality were first equipment of Jacksons and Charvels in the late 80s, but the ones branded "Schaller" or "Floyd Rose II" actually have hardened inserts also for the screws used to intonate the saddles, thefore better quality.

Shop by department, purchase cars, fashion apparel, collectibles, sporting goods, cameras, baby items, and everything else on eBay, the world's online marketplace

I've bought an OFR from this guy. Great price, fast shipping, excellent seller. The baseplate says "Made in Germany" so his OFRs are totally legit.

Wonderful upgrade on my Model 4 from the old JT-6, I have to say

No they don't. Or atleast mine didn't. I had one from 1991 that had "Floyd Rose II" name on the baseplate.

The original Floyd Rose II from the '80s was only single-locking. The newer ones that are double-locking are the same as the Schaller branded; though, earlier ones didn't have the hardened inserts.
