Our bass player had red ones. The sounded crappy. Muffled. no "snap" to them. He ditched em.Comment

I tried them as well. I put black ones on my Ibanez. I liked them a lot, but like all coated strings they felt a bit odd to me, but not as much as say Elixirs, which are horrible for that imo. They sounded pretty good. My issue was when they wore and the finish came off it looked stupid, and then I had break and the silver string looked out of place. I then had red ones on my DK2T. They looked sharp until they started to wear, and they then looked crap.Comment
