I mostly use the blue tortex standards which are 1mm. It's really about the stiffness for me. If I don't care how long the strings last I'll use Warren's stainless steel pick which I'd guess is between .5mm and .75mm.

I use to use paper thin Dunlops (white) most of the time. Still use them for some funk vibes now and then. I prefer Dunlop 2.0 Big Stubby. Anything thicker is fine by me. Will also use a 1.5 but prefer the 2.0. Hell, I'd use a nearly round rock if it is handy. I'm very unconventional w/picks. I do not like to use the pointed end much. I use one of the rounded ends mostly and very little of that. Using a smaller pick of the same thickness might seem to make more sense except I can't hold on to them so well.

So, thick, thicker, and thickest is my overall preference.

Medium to thick for me. I choose thick because going up in thickness has a better feel than thinner for me.

recently switched to Snarling Dogs Brain picks .73mm

absolutely love them to death. fantastic grip on those, no more sweaty fingers dropping picks on stage!!! and the tips seem to hold up better than my old Duncan nylons

I was using the dunlop tortex green .88 for electric and red .50 for acoustic but I have been using the .50 on all of them lately. I may do something different next month.
