Tremolo problem on Jackson Professional

Hi,

I have a Japanese Jackson Professional that has been an awesome guitar for me. I just love everything about this guitar. It's about 15 years old now.

Recently the tremolo arm seems to have come loose. The little cylinder that the arm screws into actually has some play now and does not sit tightly in the bridge. It seems like it could be hammered in, but I'm not sure.

So the tremolo arm doesn't sit right anymore. It's to low to the guitar.

The bridge itself says "Made in Germany by Shaller" on it.

Anybody else ever have this problem?

I would appreciate any tips on how to fix it if possible.

You should be able to tighten it from behind. Take off the back plate (tremolo cavity cover on backside of body) and have a look.

OK,

I have the plate off and I see the back of the cylinder but it's pretty hard to get at where it is located. Maybe a needle nose pliers would do the trick. So do I just get a pliers around that cylinder and turn it to get it seated better?

Or maybe I should just take the strings off and remove the bridge?

Isn't there a hex bolt at the end of the cylinder? There is one on my Jackson Schaller trem. Find the right allen key and tighten it up a bit.

+1 but if it's just tightening the allen screw that should be easy.

Put the needle nose pliers down and walk away before you tear up the paint

Wow - thanks for posting that pic!

Now I see the problem - I am missing two pieces! They must have come off and I always had the plate off to make adjustements for tuning. You know, I even saw a piece like that lying around somewhere! Maybe I have it somewhere.

Can I buy any of those small pieces? I'm missing the colloar that goes on from behind and the locking nut - not sure what they are all called.
