For my money, always a REAL Floyd Rose original...accept no substitutes.

Anything else (including a Schaller) just feels, sounds and looks cheap by comparison.

Also they're made by Ping now, I've got one on my BC Rich Deluxe V, and it's just total crap.

Yeah. The quality of the OFR is in question these days. At least they used to be made by Schaller, but now they seem to be made elsewhere (even the non-Ping ones).

I'm talking now about the difference of Orginals and Pros. The pro's fine tuners stick out farther. The orginal's saddle string locks stick out farther. Any signifigance in this difference?

Aha, gotcha. The only reason for the difference, is that it supposedly makes it much easier to lock the strings in place because the locking screws are easier to access. I never had a problem with the original type, and I actually dislike the pro for some reason.
