I have both, for $40 more I would get the real deal. I got my ping fro $50. In my case for $50 I'll take the ping everyday. It looks and feels pretty much the same but it's just not the real deal.
      Damn, I love this Interweb.

Or you could spend $35 more and get a real OFR/Schaller I've played 2 Ping equipped guitars. Both of them were crap. They felt cheap, and the finishes didn't look like they had held up well after a year or so.

You can get a black OFR for $180 from warmoth or guitarpartsdepot with locking nut. Carvin's doesn't come with the nut. So for $30 more get the OFR.

Where can you get OFR's for $85? You can't even get them used for that price.
