Wiring HSS with 5 way, 3 way toggle, and auto split

I have a HSS configuration with a 5-way switch along witha 3-way mini toggle.

I would like the mini toggle to operate only when the 5-way switch is in position 5 (bridge) and control series, split, and parallel operation.

I would also like the humbucker to auto-split to single coil when in position 4 (bridge + middle), regardless of where the min toggle is set.

I have been through the Duncan site thoroughly, and have found the mini-toggle wiring and the auto split wiring, but not one that combines them.

Is this possibe, and can anyone point me to or e mail me the wiring diagram for this wiring configuration. rep

A standard 5-way switch is a 3-way with bridges for the 2 and 4 - position 2 bridges 1 and 3, position 4 bridges 3 and 5.

What you're looking for is either a Megaswitch or a Jackson Special 5-way switch which has 5 totally independant switch positions and any bridging must be done manually.

OR

You can wire the hum splitters to the middle pickup's switch tab. This would give you what you want, but you'd have the same effect in positions 2, 3, and 4, which means you'd hear all 3 pickups in position 2 (neck/middle), and both the split bridge and middle in both 3 and 4 (middle/bridge+middle).

Or, just ask Artie on the duncan forums to draw it up for you. I think he gets off on the challange. Very cool of him to spend the time with art programs drawing up wiring circuits for perfect strangers.

If you've found a 5-way diagram you're happy with, then you should just be able to run the splitters from the mini to the 5-way in the place where the splitters would go without the mini.

Say the splitters normally go to 4 without the mini. You run them to the mini toggle first and whichever side of the switch you set as split, run that off to 4 instead.
