Little bit of trivia, the APC pups are made by Mel Lace, the brother of the more famous Lace pup builder. Mel will tell you his bro stole his designs.

That's the Lace Sensors, as used by Fender in the 80's. Mel made the mistake of not only suing his brother, but also Fender. Which has pretty much put a big time hurt on his ability to make a career in the musical equipment manufacturing field.

When I ordered my APC's I asked Mel his opinions on the Don Lace models (which I had also recently ordered) — D&G set, Alumitone, Aluma-90, Holy Grail set, PS-900 & 905, Acoustic Resonator Sensor — and he said he had heard of only the Holy Grails.
