Neck pup route for RR24?

No-one will buy the guitar off me, so I'm looking at modding it by giving it a neck pup. There are no specialists I know of that can do it for me, so I'm gonna do it myself. Any advice?

I think it's a worthwhile mod, but I'd have a tech do it if I wasn't handy with a router.

Down cut sprial router bit will help a ton with chipout.
