  • NOS tremlol Bridge on Charvel

    Question,

Is there any product that can replace this with a fixed bridge? Or what are my options if any, to replace it with a differant bridge. Thanks for any and all help.

Screw the trem down to the body, tighten up the back springs to make it flush/flat-mounted, and take the bar out of the trem. Whala - you have a brass hardtail, sort of.

You can do as suggested with tightening the screws down. Which works great. But I would also add a block or two of wood. Just so it is deffinately stable, and also to help with contact between the bridge and the body to help with tone and sustain etc.
              Not necassary but it helps.

I agree, and also it is quickly reversable if you should decide to sell it.
Kahler sell steel plates that cover the top routing of Original Floyds,Strat style trems, and also one for a recessed cavity.

They basically go between the 7300 Flatmount Kahler, and the top of the guitar body. I think that the plates come in Black,Chrome, and Gold.
The bridges also come in those colors. That's another option, if you wanted to dive into it further. It requires no extra routing, and both the 7300 and the plate simply attach with screws.

                Here's some links:
