I've had guitars with mixed fretwire. Just like Jake E Lee, a good combo is wide jumbo 6100 up to fret twelve, then narrow jumbo 6105 up to the body. I have this setup on a 1963 SG Special and it rocks.Comment

Going by the Model Series specs in the old catalogs (and assuming the wire stayed the same for the toothpaste-logo guitars), the closest match is Dunlop 6110. Model Series wire was .114" x .051", and Dunlop 6110 is .115" x .050".Comment
