Single coil question for HSH Jacksons

In my Concept JDR 94 (HSH) I want to replace the stock single coil middle pickup. I want to replace it with probably a Fender single coil.
Do I need to get a pickup from the middle position? I mean, does it need to be hum cancelling or anything? Or can I just buy any old Fender single coil be it a bridge, middle or neck model?

Will any old Lace Sensor model work in there?

The middle fender single is reverse wound.I have used them in the middle position in Jacksons they sound OK.The Jackson singles are much better IMO.If sparkle is what you're looking for install an RS upgrade kit the Jackson pickups will sound great.

I'm pretty sure the winding of the middle pickup shouldn't matter in an HSH guitar unless you have special switching that involves pairing that pickup with individual coils of the other pickups.

Even the single coil in a JDR Concept? The pickups in these must be as cheap as hell. I really don't like the sound of them very much.
