Q: Spoke Wheel Truss Rod Nut on So-Cal?

Hi So-Cal Modders,

Going with the So-Cal's Hot-Rod theme: could I replace the standard truss rod nut at the heel with this:

I like this thing on the Music-Man Axis - makes the seasonal adjustments really easy. But I have no idea about the thread size on the Charvels and before I invest 5 bucks I better ask,

Oh, just saw in Newc's ebay auction that the So-Cal's neck has an overhanging fretboard, so the replacment nut wouldn't work.
