Ok, hopefully this doesn't sound kinda stupid, but i'm sort of getting started on this. So, there's this guy trying to sell me an old Vox cabinet, he says its a single 15'' speaker. Aren't 15'' speakers for basses? Is it ok to run a guitar (in my case my beloved DK2) through a head or an amp and then to the speaker? Sorry if it is ilogical, it's just that I don't have anywhere else to ask for suggestions thanks!!

They make both 15" bass and guitar speakers, but it's okay to run your guitar rig through either one. You'll get more low end!
I actually run my Carvin V3 head through a Randall cab that looks like a 4x12, but it's really got 2 12" speakers and 1 15" speaker. I also hook up an extra 15" bass speaker cab to it.I feel my soul go cold... only the dead are smiling.

read the spec !
If it is the plain speaker; check out the Ohms and the RMS power it can handle.
Contrast these against the amp you are going to drive it with.
If I didnt miss understood; you will be using an Amp and moving this speaker with it.sigpicPlayForFun
