Seconded on the EMGs. I mounted Evos into two guitars and they've now sitting in a box doing nothing. Sure, they sound a bit like you're Steve Vai, but for chunk and growl and distorted balls, the EMGS win.

If you want a Dimarzio with balls, get the Tone Zone.

You can't go wrong with an 85, 81, Tone Zone or a Super D. They will all deliver the goods.
