Pickup Suggestion.

I am building my own strat since I cannot stand the feel of Fender strats. The body I am going to install pickups in are flame maple top with a chambered swamp ash body, a maple neck with a "interesting" ebony fingerboard. I am looking for a set of pickups that will provide the best glassy/classic fender tone. Suggestions would be greatly appreciated...

haven't tried them myself, but rio grande makes really nice single coils.

Yeah, I have been asking around and their name has been coming up a bit. The other ones that I have heard really good things about are the Kinman Woodstocks.

I will have to see if I can find a good comparison.
