JD-R part swap

I'd like to install a different neck on my JD-R Jackson. What do I need to know to find a suitable replacement? The neck that was on the mutt has 24 frets, and regular headstock. I do know that I'll need to find a neck with the same amount of frets and scale and the same width of the neck pocket, right?

I'm hoping to install a Jackson reverse headstock.

Can I put an OFR on there with the route that on the body? I'm not sure since it's off center.

The neck you have pictured is from a JD-X.
The body is not a JD-R body either.
JD-R bodies are H-S-H with a recessed trem route.

Judging by the control layout, it looks like a MF run body.

A Floyd "should' fit in the body you have as long as the post spacing is correct.
A recessed route is not required.

Ahh yes... now I remember.
Anyway... A Floyd will fit on that. You will need to get a longer block for it though.

As for the neck, yes, you will need another 24 fret, 25.5 scale neck with a 2 1/4" heel.

jdr-94 has a reverse neck in the classifieds. Good dude to deal with too..

Thanks for all the input but I've decided to scratch the project and part it out. I'd rather put all the money towards something else.

there is a guy in the classifieds with a PS-4 neck, they are very nice, and very thin
