Hang on - you can't just screw in the trem springs to compensate for a high angled bridge. That isn't going to work. You need to do it while tuning the guitar. Just tightening the screws randomly is NOT going to work (as you found out).
Do you have a tuner of some sort?
If the guitar was perfect before this string change, I'd guess the problem is all down to a change in string gauge, so you should just need to adjust for that. It's not a hard job, and if that IS all that's wrong you don't need to fuck about with the saddles or truss rod.
Before you do anything, I'd take it back to the dick that changed the strings and tell him to sort it properly.
THEN buy one of Dan Erlewine's books and stay away from that "tech"!
