The title says it all really.
The guitar in question an RR1T by the way.

you need the jackson truss rod adjustment wrench (socket type).
jackson's have a hex bolt on the end of there truss rods like gibson but a different size (i think).

Jackson is strange. Both of my RR1Ts took allen wrenches... and they were different sizes, too!
I believe my Professional Dinky HX uses the socket like a Gibson.
I feel my soul go cold... only the dead are smiling.
It should be a 5/16" truss wrench IIRC. If you order/buy one get the deep well and not the shallow.You can also use a thin wall deep well 1/4" drive socket with a 6" extension to give you the clearance as well. I use Craftsman thin wall deep wells in the shop without any problems or rounding shoulders on the soft nuts they tend to use on truss rods.
These from Stewmac work well too.

It turned out that i needed a 3/16" allen wrench after all. thanks for all the input anyway
