Colortone waterbased lacquer

Anyone used this for refinishing/painting a guitar? http://www.stewmac.com/shop/Finishin..._Lacquers.html I'm trying to decide what paint to buy. Shouldn't need grain filler. Have sprayers, not doing spraycans. So it looks like a quart and a black pigment is about $40. Anyone used it? Results good?

Or should I stick with Lawrence McFadden nitro and the Colortone liquid pigment for base, and just nitro for topcoats?

OK.... What non spraycan paint has anyone used on a guitar. Doing primer, color, art/silverleaf, clear. Anyone?
